Bellmaine Scholarship

Established in 1998, the Bellmaine Travel Scholarship was created through a generous bequest to UniSQ by Mr (Oliver) Keith Bellmaine (1910-2001), a long-term patron and friend to the University. Keith and his late wife Beryl (dec. 1992), were generous supporters of the University for many years and left several wonderful legacies. Mr Bellmaine had a strong interest in the French culture, and his intent was to encourage friendship, communication and connection between Australia and France through education.
  • $10,000 travel support costs for students travelling to France for research/study related purposes for an extended period of time

To be eligible applicants must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen;
  • Be currently enrolled in the DPHD program at UniSQ;
  • Be travelling to France for research/study related purposes for an extended period of time.

To be eligible applicants must:  

  • alignment with the University's research priority areas;
  • academic merit, previous research outputs and research experience of the applicant;
  • research track record of the proposed supervisory team;
  • quality of the research proposal.

To apply, please ensure you have digital copies of the below information:

  • Cover letter outlining the importance of travel to France;
  • Support letter from supervisor endorsing the travel request;
  • Curriculum vitae; encompassing any research presentations and/or publications;
  • Preliminary Research Thesis Topic Proposal (DOTX 153KB);
  • Education qualifications (testamur and academic transcripts for all undergraduate and postgraduate awards);
  • Documentation confirming citizenship.
