Herscovitch-Duncan First Nations Scholarship in Nursing

In 2025, UniSQ will offer one Herscovitch-Duncan First Nations Scholarship in Nursing to support an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student commencing their studies in the Bachelor of Nursing.

Established in 2024 through the founding gifts of Fleur Herscovitch, this endowed scholarship supports Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students pursuing a career in Nursing. The scholarship commemorates the tireless efforts of Pam Duncan and her advocacy for public health investment in and around Boggabilla in northern NSW.

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $2000 to be paid in one instalment. 

Applicants must:

  • be a currently residing in Australia
  • be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia
  • be a
  • be intending to enrol full-time at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Nursing in 天美传媒app Period 1 2025 (e.g., Trimester 1 2025).

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
    • what influenced and motivated you to choose your intended study program at UniSQ
    • how do you see yourself as a future professional within your field
  • provide evidence you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia
  • provide evidence of academic achievement as directed in the application process:
    • final year school report card or post-secondary academic history (transcript of results)
  • provide evidence of your current financial circumstances.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
